Mandatory Session to all participants to explain the LMS, July 17 from 7:30-8:30pm
Didactic Sessions begin July 18 th
Mandatory session for final examination, clinical and licensure information is Wed. Oct. 2 from 7:30 to 8:30 pm
Didactic Course closed Sunday Oct. 6 th at midnight.
Final Exam #1 is Wednesday Oct. 16 th from 7-9pm
Final Exam #2 is Sunday Oct. 27 th from 10am- 12 noon.
Clinical sessions begin Monday November 4 th ending Saturday November 30 th.
Certificates of Completion will be sent to you around December 16 th for your application for updated license for 2025.
In order to receive the member discount you must join the MSO/AOA and agree to pay your dues for a period of no less than two years.

Course Information Certification Course Board Policy
The State Board of Registration in Optometry (The Board) has now posted their policy on their website.
The Board has approved an additional Certification course to be offered from the MSO on June 3, 2024. This certification course will count towards your Massachusetts Board approved continuing education for 2024.
Applications for Postgraduate(residency) and Endorsement (reciprocity) exemptions from the education are now available. If you are applying for these exemptions get your application in ASAP. Exemption Application link, https://www.mass.gov/doc/glaucoma-certification-application/download .

Massachusetts optometrists that hold a license from another state may apply for reciprocity if they have a current and continuous license in another jurisdiction AND they can demonstrate equivalent scope of practice and education to the Massachusetts Glaucoma and orals statute. Please see the State Board website for the exact language and applications. These will be reviewed by the State Board of Registration in Optometry on a case by case basis.
