The Massachusetts Vision Foundation is a 501(c)(3) educational foundation dedicated to increasing awareness and importance of eye health to Massachusetts citizens, and to improve the quality of eye care in the Commonwealth through the educational enrichment of the general public and eye doctors. The Foundation awards scholarships to optometry students who intend to practice in Massachusetts, collaborates with other state health care organizations for eye health awareness campaigns, and helps organize front-line eye health vision screenings to underserved populations.
The Massachusetts Vision Foundation (MFV) in conjunction with the Boston Commission for Blind Children (BCBC) has developed a Pilot program to serve the eye care needs of the underprivileged and underserved in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The pilot program will kick off in August 2023. The goal of the program is to provide free eye care and eye wear to the many people who are not covered by insurance and cannot afford eye care services. We hope the program grows over the years and serves those in need.
