As you know, optometry is a legislated profession. Which means that creating and maintaining working relationships with Senators and Representatives is vital to the survival of our profession.
Our Keyperson Network aims to line up individual doctors with their local Representatives and Senators, and to encourage our members to have a positive working relationship with their elected official. A phone call, a personal donation, or an appearance at a local event can go a long way.
When the time comes for legislative action, our Keyperson Network will be able to spring into action, with OD's across the state contacting their legislators in an orderly fashion to get the word out on pending bills.
